For sale,  a BEAUTIFUL "UN-DUG" SPECIMEN.....ANTIQUE...THIS HOTEL OPENED IN 1908.....AND WOULD HAVE BEEN USED IN A HOTEL SALOON BAR TO GET A DRINK OR PREMIUM CIGAR  old  "good for" style trade token which actually is good for " GOOD FOR 12 1/2 CTS IN TRADE"  at business called the " ALASKAN HOTEL (used in hotel saloon)" , which was used in the historic town of  CORDOVA, ALASKA TERRITORY 

THIS CAME OUT OF A SMALL COLLECTION OF OLD ALASKA & WESTERN TRADE TOKENS...ONLY ONE IN THE COLLECTION FROM "CORDOVA" ALASKA TERRITORY

THE HISTORIC "ALASKAN HOTEL" WAS BUILT IN 1908 TO SUPPORT THE MINING BOOM IN THE COPPER RIVER REGION & THE NORWESTERN RAILWAY (and its workers)....IT IS 3 STORIES TALL....AND IT IS THE OLDEST SURVIVING HISTORIC BUILDING IN TOWN....AND I READ ONE BIG ATTRACTION IS THE AMAZING "BACK BAR" IN THIS HOTEL.....THAT WAS WHERE THIS TOKEN WOULD HAVE BEEN USED.

 The historic town of Cordova is located in the Chugach census area....near the mouth of the Copper River at the head of Orca Inlet on the east side of Prince William Sound

Token is aluminum, scalloped, about 32mm, and in nice condition....looks like it just came out of great grandpa's cigar box
