This unit has been tested for sound output and has undergone maintenance and basic function checks including re-recording. There are scratches on the front panel and top, but the interior is free of discoloration and is in good working order.


Maintenance included:

① replacing a slightly deformed tray belt with a new one as a precaution; the capstan belt appears to be usable.

② demagnetizing the heads and adjusting the tape speed.

③ cleaning the head area with anhydrous ethanol, lubricating the moving parts, and cleaning the contacts on the back with contact cleaner.


After maintenance, the tray opens and closes, playback, recording, fast forward, and rewind all function correctly. The display is bright and appears to have no dead pixels. The switches also appear to be responsive. (This unit has a pinch roller design that is less prone to cracking or deterioration. Not all functions, such as CD sync recording, have been tested.)
