Description:
Second edition in two volumes. Bound in full leather, contemporary to boards, restoration to corners, spines recently rebacked with gilt lettering on morocco labels. Remains sound and firm both externally and internally. Marbled endpapers with armorial bookplate of William Philip [Molyneux], Earl of Sefton, to front pastedowns. Inner hinges strengthened. Ink signature of Lady Sefton to top corner of title-pages. Pages generally very clean and tidy, just occasional minor blemishes and some off-setting from plates to adjoining pages. "Contents" of both volumes at front of Vol. I; "Account of the Prints" and "Translations of Latin Passages" are bound in at the end of Vol. II.
