The box contains 3 pens with cleaner fluid and a brush on one end. You spin the other end to make liquid come out. Brush onto jewelry, getting into all the crevices and then wipe off and polish to shine with the provided microfiber cloth. 3 cloths included. The pens do come in gold, silver and rose gold colors (fluid is clear). I believe you should use the coordinating color of pen to the jewelry you are cleaning.

As an experiment, I cleaned one of my tarnished 925 silver rings that I hadn't been able to get clean with soap and water. See pictures for before and after. Wow!  And as a bonus, I smelled nothing from the cleaner!
