Tadashige Nishida was born in 1942 on Amami Oshima Island in Kagoshima Prefecture. He studied at Chiba University and later continued his artistic education in Spain and the United States during the 1960s. Since then, he has focused primarily on traditional Japanese woodblock techniques, which form the technical foundation of his artistic work.

Nishida's prints are published by Uchida in Kyoto and are recognized for their high production quality. Many works feature refined surfaces enhanced with gold or silver pigments. His woodblock prints are issued in limited editions, usually around 100 or more impressions. Each print is individually numbered, dated, and signed by the artist.
