This block is in good condition overall. This recently came out of the estate of a life long hot rodder who had this high performance builds. The bores all are very clean with light wear as shown. The cylinders measure 4.25 which is standard bore. There are also no sleeves or other issues. I am selling this as a good core for rebuilding. This is guaranteed to be a crack free block. The casting date on this block is F 2 73 which decodes as June 2nd, 1973. The pad in the front side of the deck surface on the passenger side of the block is stamped T0606CWL 13C229181 as shown. The T0606CWL shows this block was assembled as a 454 engine for a Chevrolet fullsize car with an automatic transmission This is the most docile 454 available in 1973 which is what you want for a performance build since it has not been abused in the past. . The 13C229181 is the partial VIN of the car it was originally installed in. I am also including the original 454 crankshaft from this engine which has been greased and looks to be in good shape.
