Here we have a very attractive looking Antique Riding Crop / Whip for you, this was produced by the top Birmingham Maker Thomas Chetland ,he was known for his quality Riding Crops and the Silver mount bears the T C & Co Mark along with the Assay marks for Birmingham 1911,this is a very nice example with the Gradually increasing size of Bamboo as you go from the bottom up to the Handle, condition wise not bad but not perfect there is a bit of loose whipping at the bottom of the Crop which needs putting back in place and varnishing to secure it again, and a few little grazes in the Glaze on the Bamboo ,there are a few dents / scuffs on the Silver Collar but still firmly attached with nice clear Hallmarks, the Handle measures 22 inches or 56cms in length.
