Description

Achieve perfect gear alignment and bearing preload in lower unit with this set of precision-machined T-type shims. Positioned within the lower unit gearcase assembly, these shims adjust the depth of the pinion gear relative to the forward and reverse gears. Proper shimming is a critical step during a gearcase rebuild to prevent premature gear teeth wear, whining noises, and catastrophic lower unit failure.
