Certified natural blue - green ( teal ) Sapphire gemstone originating from Madagascar. This weighs 1.56 CTS and has been cut and faceted into an oval shape. The measurements are approximately 8.19 x 6.18 x 3.78 mm.

The stone has a highly desirable coloring, displaying a blue - green shade which is actually classed as "teal". The piece also displays phenomenal visual effects such as the blue and green flashes that are best seen in the supplied video. This is a smaller stone than many types we have in our inventory, although it is actually a very good size for this grade of Sapphire and would make a stunning ring, accent stone, or smaller piece of jewelry.

The gem is fully transparent and has excellent clarity. There is only faint natural inclusions found upon magnification. This would be considered eye clean or VVS clarity. There is no discernable damage or chips and is in prestine condition.

This stone was sourced by a personal friend of mine in Bangkok who works in the gem market there. This is completely natural and earth mined. The only treatment applied is a standard heat treatment to improve color. This is standard practice with the vast majority of Sapphires. It is not common to see a natural Sapphire of this grade and coloring, and we have taken the extra step to have the gem certified by a lab. The certificate will be included with the purchase of the item.
