Antique Stoneware Food Crock with lid Brown Glaze 1880’s. Jar stands 5 1/2” tall and 3 3/4” in width.lid has a couple old chips,the rim on the jar has wear(see photo) small chip on the base.Jar is hand thrown on a potters wheel the brown glaze is uneven.all around nice primitive stoneware jar and also a bit scarce.(may have been used for Jams or Jelly)P.S. not sure about the markings on the bottom they look like somebody did a math problem?
