Up for bid is a fine antique Gorham sterling #713 belt or sash buckle.  The buckle is 2 1/8 inches wide by 2 7/8 inches tall and weighs 76 grams.  It is plain in form, with a tongue and a hinged back plate, so it operates as a friction buckle with the tongue for extra security.  It has not been monogrammed.  The buckle is marked with the Gorham trademark, “STERLING” and “713”. 

Condition on the buckle is good.  There is just normal wear from use.  An attractive old buckle!
