I'm very happy to combine postage. However, Ebay now insist that Private Sellers use their ‘Simple Delivery’ service - and it isn’t simple! If you would like more than one magazine, please use the 'add to basket' option for each one first, rather than 'buy it now'. If you're not sure how to do this, I'd be very happy to help. I should be able to send at least eight Radio Times (in the UK) for the same price as one.

Another suggestion. If more than one magazine looks interesting, it might be worth asking me to put them together into just one group. It could save you money on 'buyer protection' charges, as well as combining postage?

Here is the Radio Times for 6-12 June 1948. This is the West of England edition (radio only, no tv), sold originally for twopence (2d).

  The cover features a C.W. Bacon illustration of that week's outstanding broadcasts, which include Trooping the Colour, the Isle of Man T. T. Races, the first test from Nottingham, the Aldeburgh Festival and Toscanini from Milan

 Other features of interest include:

·        a full-page article where popular broadcasters explain their radio nightmares. Among those contributing are Val Gielgud, Arthur Askey, Norman Long, Parry Jones, Stuart Hibberd, Wilfred Pickles, Sir Adrian Boult and Harry S Pepper. Two small cartoons accompany Askey and Boult's stories

·        a half page on the Lambeth Conference and how broadcasting will be a major topic for discussion

·        a third of a page on the T.T. Races

·        Both Sides of the Microphone includes very short pieces on Billy Thorburn, Robert Moreton, The Adventures of PC49, Fred Hartley and Bishop Eivind Berggrav of Oslo

Full listings are given for all BBC radio programmes. There were no tv broadcasts to this part of the country in 1948.

The magazine will be posted in a protective comic bag, inside a new Jiffy Airkraft padded envelope, protected by card stiffeners.
