Soviet Award Badge for 50 Years of Membership in the Communist Party, 1970a-80s.

The is GURANTEED 100% ORIGINAL badge made at the Soviet Mint and officially issued by the Soviet authorities. This is NOT a replica, post-Soviet “reissue”.

The badge is of SUPERB QUALITY, in spite of its small size. In is made in solid STERLING SILVER, Gold Plating and high-quality “hot-baked” Enamels. It measures 16 mm tall x 15 mm wide, and weighs approx. 4.2 g (0.135 Troy Ounce). There is a raised logo of the Moscow Mint logo to the reverse, the kind that was used only before the 1990s. Made to resemble a miniature Order of Lenin and wear on lapel, this interesting and exquisitely well-made award was the closest the Soviet Communist Party ever came to having a membership badge.

The badge is in EXCELLENT CONDITION. The enamel is perfect and shows a beautiful luster. The gilt finish is bright. The pin attachment is intact and fully functional.

A very interesting historical award. Not too many of those who joined the Communist Party of the Soviet Union before or during WW2 lived to have fifty years of party membership.
