The de Havilland DH.98 Mosquito FB Mk VI was a highly successful British twin-engine fighter-bomber utilized by the Royal Air Force (RAF) during World War II. Renowned as the "Wooden Wonder," its airframe was constructed primarily from cold-molded plywood and balsa, bypassing wartime strategic metal shortages. The FB Mk VI stood out as the most produced variant of the Mosquito line, with 2,292 aircraft constructed. It combined heavy nose-mounted forward firepower with internal and underwing bomb capacities to perform devastating low-altitude tactical strike missions.
