This Tascam TSR-8 is a professional-grade, 8-track, 8-channel reel-to-reel analog tape recorder known for its warm analog sound and is fresh out of its original box. The TSR-8 was a popular studio workhorse in the early 1990s and is still highly sought after for both music production and analog summing. The recorder uses 1/2-inch wide tape on 10.5-inch NAB reels and operates at a single high speed of 15 inches per second, which provides for about 20 minutes of recording time per reel. The unit features a built-in dbx Type 1 noise reduction to minimize tape hiss and achieve a signal-to-noise ratio exceeding 105 dB. The unit is equipped with microprocessor control that allows for automated punch-in/out, rehearsal modes and precise tape handling and uses unbalanced RCA inputs and outputs for each of its eight tracks. This unit comes straight out of it's original box and is both functionally and cosmetically in excellent condition.
