Offered is a good example of the British Army issue Indian Mutiny Medal, as awarded to Private James Huff, who was serving with the 81st Regiment of Foot (Loyal Lincoln Volunteers) during the Mutiny.

Indian Mutiny Medal (1858), named 118 PTE JAMES HUFF 81ST. FT. It comes with copies of service biography and medal roll extract, which shows Huff was awarded his medal 36 years after the formal conclusion of hostilities, meaning Huff was in his old age when applying for the medal.
