This is a plate with a brown-ash glaze base, overlaid with white glaze and decorated with colorful floral patterns.
Its shape resembles a Mashiko ware steamed bun plate, but it has a raised base.
The white-glazed sections form a single pattern, which is then unified by adding grass motifs using green and iron glazes.
The natural imperfections in the finish convey the warmth of handcrafted work.
Although it shows signs of use, this gives the piece a sense of calm and character.
I think it's a very practical dish with a good depth.
There is a kiln mark, but the artist and kiln are unknown.
