MUSEUM PIECE!!! A superbly decorated cup and saucer, Naples Poulard Prad porcelain, circa 1822! 

Decorated by Raffaele Giovine, depicting scenes of Neapolitan life and landscape.

 This is a rare scene where the smoke comes out of the Vesuvius ! 

The cup has two men in regional costumes and is titled “Mercatore di santilli” on base. 

The painting is flanked by decorated gilding as the saucer. The interior of the cup is in solid gold. 

This is a cup and saucer set from 6 of the collection of life and landscapes painted after the print sources of Alessandro D’Anna I have for sale. 

Cup 6,5cm high Saucer 12.5cm dia. 

Very good antique condition, there is a mark on the upper rim of the saucer which seems to be a small nick with an old restoration as can be seen in pictures. Gilding almost intact.
