1939 Press Photo Mary Agnes Butterfield sold "Errol Flynn" ticket to June Brody
This is an original press photo. Mary Agnes Butterfield of Dodge City Kas., was the happiest girl in the city when she drew the name of Errol Flynn, movie star, in a lottery to select local host and hostesses for some thirty movie actors who are coming to the small Southwestern Kansas Community for a movie premiere. Then her 11 year old brother, Joe got the measles and the Butterfield hoe was quarantined. So she sold her ticket to Miss June Brody, 22 year old waitress and Flynn will spend a weekend at the Brody home. The above photo shows the transaction, Miss Butterfield in the window, Miss Brody outside. Photo measures 7 x 7.25 inches. Photo is dated 3-27-1939.
