Absolutely magnificent early original William Spratling (American-born, 1900-1967)
Taxco Silver and Turquoise Chip Inlay Mirroring Hand Necklace, 1956- 1964.
Designed
as two opposed hands of silver and inlayed green hardstone centering on
a yin/yang symbol and suspended from a silver link chain
This necklace is the one of the most classics Spratling designs!
Chain is 15 ½” lenght, hands are 5” width x 3” high
The
necklace is marked with the "WS" script in a circle hallmark and Eagle
#30 which indicates the necklace was made by Spratling from 1956-1964.
This piece is an original Spratling piece, not one made by his descendents, as evidenced by the marks.
