Liebmann's tank wagons are not only 0 gauge models, but also historical witnesses. Their lettering has changed frequently.


In 1938, the Leuna Works near Merseburg were called "Hermann Göring". They actually produced "German petrol" there, because it was extracted from brown coal. After 1945, the Leuna Works were called VEB Leuna Works "Walter Ulbricht". Although they still produced German petrol, the term "German" was no longer relevant at some point.


"Derunapht" stands for "Deutsch-Russische Naphta Aktiengesellschaft". This joint-stock company was the result of the economic contacts between the Soviet Union and Germany during the Weimar Republic in the 1920s. Deutsch-Russische Naphta AG was based in Berlin. It should be remembered that good relations between the Soviet Union and Adolf Hitler's Third Reich still existed in 1939. Derunapht continued to operate for a while after World War II in the Soviet occupation zone as SAG (Soviet Joint Stock Company).
