Selling an Antique M1873 Springfield Trapdoor Socket Bayonet & Scabbard w/ Leather Hanger
Based on comparisons, we believe this to be an authentic M1873 Bayonet & scabbard made by the US Army, likely during the "Indian Wars" in the late 19th Century. The scabbard features a leather hanger with a medallion bearing "US" on it. The scabbard measures about 18.5" in length and the bayonet measures 21" long total.
Leather hanger is quite worn in spots. Scabbard has tarnishing and the blade itself is dulled/dented. It can be slightly difficult to remove from the scabbard when inserted.
