This is a rare, original price list / brochure from the Victorian Era. It has one fold with printing on both sides and when unfolded, measures 11" x 6".
This piece is in good condition with a soft horizontal crease running through it. here is just a little separation along that crease on one of the edges. There are also a couple of other soft creases. This item is clean and unmarked. Please see photos for more information on condition.
This brochure was intended for the trade, parties such as builders, contracts and industrial buyers. It lists roofing materials, paints and coatings, and steam pipe insulation. These were cutting edge materials at the time, and asbestos was marketed as a miracle product then.
This is very early and desirable piece of asbestos advertising not often seen.
The H W. Johns Manufacturing company was one of the 19th century companies that eventually became a part of what today is known as Johns Mansville, a company that was involved in some major suits concerning asbestos in the 20th century,
