Slavina Maria Aleksandrovna (married to Baroness Medem, June 5, 1858, St. Petersburg - May 1, 1951, Paris) - Russian opera singer and teacher, mezzo-soprano. She possessed a flexible and powerful voice of a “velvety” timbre and virtuoso technique. Dramatic talent allowed Slavina to create memorable stage images. In 1902 she was awarded the title of Honored Artist of the Imperial Theaters.
