ANTIQUE CUDAHY’S REXOMA MUG

·      This antique mug/cup advertises the Cudahy meat packing company's Rexoma products.  I’ve been told Rexoma refers to their line of medicinal products that were made from animal byproducts.

·      It measures about 3 ½” tall and about 3” in diameter at the top (it has a flared lip) and 2 ¼” diameter at the bottom.

·      It features 3 large pink roses on the side, gold edging along the lip and the words “Cudahy’s Rexsoma” inside the lip at the top.

·      It has a scrolled handle with a gold accent.

·      I can see no manufacturer’s stamp on the bottom but it looks as if there may have been a faint one at one time. Perhaps the number 7 and a “dot” of the same gold ink.

·      There are some very faint, very short pencil-like lines in two places along the outside of the upper lip.  They don’t clean off and I’m wondering if they’re something that happened when the cup was manufactured.

·      This cup is in extremely nice condition for its age.  The artwork and even the gold edging are in great condition.  I can find no chips or cracks on the cup and only a minimum of wear along the bottom edge.
