Description:
This bronze fals was struck at Qinnasrin in northern Syria during the early decades following the great Umayyad monetary reform of 77 AH (697 AD). Post-reform coinage abandoned figural Byzantine imagery in favor of purely epigraphic Islamic declarations. Qinnasrin issues are notably less common than those of Damascus and Halab and are sought after by collectors specializing in early provincial Umayyad bronzes. A strong, well-centered example with good weight for the type.

Authenticity Guarantee:
Guaranteed authentic early Islamic coin. Certificate of Authenticity included.

Condition:
About Very Fine. Even brown patina with moderate wear and clear central inscriptions.
