Vintage Filipino Ifugao Pasiking Woven Basket Bag/Backpack with Two Straps
Pre-owned item. This item appears to be vintage, and has wear from age and use. The bag appears to have been handmade, and has some flaws and wear from this construction. Sold as is, see pictures for additional reference.
This item appears to be a handwoven Pasiking bag that has been made among indigenous groups in the Philippines. They are typically made from rattan and bamboo. This one in particular is square shaped, being around 12" long and 12" tall, and has an attached "lid" that fits over the main body of the pasiking. The original width is around 3.5", but the center of the bag bulges a bit (most likely from use) and is now around 5.5" wide.
