Description:
Very rare Umayyad bronze fals struck at Tabariya (Tiberias) during the post-reform period. This variety (SICA II, 1227) is distinguished by the horizontal bird device above the reverse inscription — a highly distinctive and seldom-encountered control symbol within the Tabariya series.

Tabariya was an important administrative center in Jund al-Urdunn, and its bronze coinage is known for unusual symbolic devices including trees, birds, crescents, and floral forms. Bird types are significantly rarer than the more common tree varieties and are actively sought after by collectors of early Islamic provincial coinage.

Authenticity:
Correct Umayyad bronze fabric, Kufic epigraphy, and provincial style consistent with SICA II, 1227. Natural patina with no signs of tooling or casting. Fully guaranteed authentic.

Condition:
Very Fine. Clear inscriptions and visible bird device. Struck on a somewhat short flan, otherwise strong and well preserved for the type.
