I am selling a pair of 18th Century German Stockert compasses. These are pantochrometers that were widely used in shipping; that could give you a heading and the time of day during daylight hours. These are rare with only a handful on the Internet, a couple in museums.

Compass Weight & Dimensions:

1.1 oz, 2 3/16" wide, 1 5/8" wide
1.4 oz, 2 3/8" wide, 1 6/8" high

Both in a fruitwood casing with a glass dome, brass gnomon and colorful paper dials.

The smaller compass has a bisected glass and the gnomon tip is missing. Both in working order.

Both are museum quality and would be a fine addition to your collection.
