Please note: the unsigned numbered cards and wooden box set in the the last 4 photos are NOT included in the listing. It is only for showing the 500 numbered autographed sets were not fulfilled and also different packaging sets available in the market.

1996 CRICKET HERITAGE SIGNATURE CARD COLLECTION was released by Futera in 1996. 

In the mid 1990s, cricket card collecting was as popular as any other popular sports cards such as NBA AFL or NRL. Initiated by Catchers Sports of Victoria, Futera had produced Cricket Heritage Autographed Card Collection.  Many collectors believe that this set is the most significant piece of sporting memorabilia ever produced in Australia at that time and the collectability has been enhanced ever since its release.

60 cards in the set with 59 cards autographed (#1 card is Header card). The numbering of the 60 cards is based on order of birthdate. This set included some of the greatest cricketers of the history and more importantly, most of these cricketers had only signed once for cricket trading cards.

500 individually numbered cards each produced. 60-card set bears the matching number. Unfortunately, when the autographed cards returned to Futera, there were some cards remains unsigned ( see the last photo as example). Consequently, there are not 500 sets existed, especially when taking into account of that the set is supposed to be matching number.

The first batch of the Heritage set received by collectors was stored in the specially designed wooden box ( set #001 to #049), the second batch of the sets were presented in the green 3-ring album, But majority of the 500 sets were stored and delivered in the PKK 150 count box.

It is 30 years since the set was released. Over the time, we have sold quite a few of this collection, but we hardly see the sold sets re-surfaced in the market.

Unlike most of other 1996 Cricket Heritage sets where #11 Keith Miler card is un-signed, the Keith Miller card ( #11) of this set is also autographed. It is believed only 100 sets out of the 500 sets of the Heritage Cricket Collection with autographed Keith Miller cards, other sets are unsigned version of #11 Keith Miller card.

500 numbered cards each released, with 60 cards within the set bearing the same number. 

This set is set #331/500. Note: card #37 Peter Allan has minor top left cornered.
