1940's METAL SCREW CASED ELGIN MILITARY SWISS LEVER POCKET WATCH WORKING

vintage Circa WW11, 1940’s military Elgin 7 jewels Swiss lever pocket watch in good working order. The dial is black coloured with white & brown coloured numerals and silver coloured hands with sub-dial and marked Elgin. The Elgin movement with a Swiss lever escapement has 7 jewels and is clean with a good strong tick keeping good time and marked Elgin Natl Watch Co USA seven 7 Jewels and the number 41215208 which dates the watch movement to 1940’s. The back cover is marked to the inside Keystone Base Metal etc and the number 75662 and to the outside with the military arrow GSTP and the number 304666 XX.

It is button wind and set. The dial and dial lens are clean and clear and free from any chips or cracks. The case is clean and bright and has worn as to its age with both the front and back screw-on covers closing nice and tight. It Measures 50mm excluding crown.
