Postmaster shot by woman in row over band's noise. Lewis Collier, 45, postmaster at Alloway, New Jersey, was dying from a bullet wound in his lung inflicted by Mrs. Lillian Flemings, 28, who was determined to stop the noise of a fife-and-drum corps, of which Collier was the organizer. This photo shows the Alloway fire house, next to the Flemings' home, where Collier was shot. Photo measures 8.25 x 10.25 inches. Photo Is dated 1929.
