Overview:
Umayyad bronze fals of the post-reform period bearing the shortened first part of the Kalima in two lines on the obverse and the second part in three lines on the reverse, followed by the mint formula.

The marginal inscription clearly reads “bismillah zuriba haza al-fals bi…,” with the beginning of the mint name visible as “sr.” Although the final letters are incomplete due to preservation, the epigraphic style and layout correspond closely to known issues of Sarmin, a rare northern provincial mint.

Sarmin fulus are among the scarcer Umayyad provincial bronzes, and examples with partial but diagnostic mint formula remain highly collectible.

Authenticity Check:
Natural dark green patina consistent with early 8th-century bronze. Proper Kufic epigraphy and hand-struck fabric. No signs of casting or modern tooling.

Comparable Examples:
Compare Album 187; Bone 3.1; SICA 2, 1224; Walker 883.
