Description:
This bronze follis belongs to the Arab-Byzantine transitional coinage struck in the Levant during the mid-7th century following the early Islamic conquests. These issues closely imitate Byzantine imperial designs while circulating under early Islamic administration. The two-standing-figures type derives from folles of Constans II but was locally engraved in a more provincial style. Such coins represent an important transitional phase between Byzantine imperial authority and the later fully Islamic epigraphic coinage reforms of the Umayyad period.

Guaranteed authentic Arab-Byzantine coin. Certificate of Authenticity included.
