Raw natural white opal gemstone originating from Ethiopia. This weighs 34.60 CTS and is an uncut freeform shape, although this could be cut or polished into various possibilities.

This gem is completely earth mined, uncut, and unpolished. This is as natural as you can get for an opal. The quality of the piece is also exceptional with bright vivid flashes of multiple colors shifting throughout the entire piece.

Underneath the outer layer is a completely solid opal. A careful hand can remove the outer layer exposing more rainbow opalescence, however care must be taken as opals are a more delicate stone.

Please note that this is not a hydrophane opal. You do not need to keep this wet in order to see the flashy colors. Some raw opals are what's known as hydrophane, and need to be moist or submerged in water to see the opalescence effect. We are proud to say these do not have to be kept in water and can be enjoyed without any special treatments.
