This is a real deal Mopar console mount tachometer. I believe this style tach was used in 1964-1965 B and C body models. I have seen others advertised that say they were used from 1964-1969. I believe this was an option in many console equipped Mopar A, B, and C bodies of the mid to late 60's and possibly 70's. Please confirm your specific application.
This gauge is in good unrestored condition overall as shown. The dial is clean and chrisp with nice colors. The lens is free of chips or cracks and is clean and clear as shown. The front bezel has been removed from the gauge at some point, likely to clean the inside of the lens hich left pry marks on the outer edge that will not show when installed. The back of the tach is in good shape as shown. The factory ink stamped part number 2496979 is intact. The Stewart Warner model number 765AD is also ink stamped on the back of the tach as shown. I tested this tach and it works smoothly through the RPM range and returns to zero when powered off as shown. Don't miss this rare and hard to find factory console mounted tachometer.
