Product Description

Features:

The Mercedes W654 1.6 and 2.0 diesel engines use a timing chain mounted on the back of the engine, which means that any task involving removing the timing chain requires removing the engine.

Once the engine is removed, allow the user to lock the camshaft and crankshaft in their time position to replace the chain.

Note: It can also be used to lock the camshaft and crankshaft with the engine in the vehicle while checking for alignment.

"Tax timing adjustment tool for Mercedes M254, M256, OM654, OM656, like 654589002100, 654589032100"

Special tool for positioning the timing (TDC cylinder 1) of the crankshaft and camshaft. This basic tool is placed in place of the vibration damper and positions the crankshaft with the vibration damper removed.

The plug-in adapters included in the set for checking the exhaust camshaft position are included in both variants. The plastic version has been replaced by Mercedes, but still allows better and more precise handling with the OM654 and M256 engines.

NOTE: If the camshaft gears (50 Nm 90 degrees in OM654) need to be loosened, please note that the intake camshaft has a left-hand thread. Before loosening, the two-part camshafts must be secured with a drill or locking pin, otherwise the backlash compensation will twist.
