    Hoi Lebadang was born in Bich-La-Dong, Vietnam. He studied at the famed Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris. His painting style combines Eastern and European influences. He had his first US exhibition in 1966 at the Cincinatti Art Museum. Lebadang is best known for his densely textured mixed-media paintings.
    He combines molded pasteboard, limestone, and pigment on burlap or canvas. His abstract and representational work frequently includes images of horses, flowers and other forms from nature.
