This is an authentic World War II US Army Enlisted Men's M1939 Service Coat, commonly referred to as a "Class A" dress jacket. Constructed from heavy olive drab (OD) wool serge, it features a single-breasted, four-pocket design with pleated breast pockets and bellows-style lower pockets. The jacket is secured by four large brass buttons embossed with the Great Seal of the United States. Notable insignia include Private First Class rank chevrons on both sleeves and a yellow diamond-shaped Honorable Service Lapel Patch, colloquially known as the "Ruptured Duck," which was sewn above the right breast pocket to indicate an honorable discharge.
