Natural black opal cabochon gemstone originating from Ethiopia. This weighs 8.10 CTS and has been cut into an oval shape. The measurements are approximately 16.4 x 11.9 x 8.2 mm.

The stone has a variety of Irridescent shifting colors, most notably red, pink, and gold, giving the piece an extra "firey appearance. Other colors can be seen dancing throughout the gem, such as  orange, blue, purple and green. As with all opals, the colors are most intense when viewed under a light source, either artificial or sunlight.

This is a natural gemstone and has smoke in treated to enhance color. Don't be fooled by lesser imitations. This is not a doublet or filled product, this is solid earth mined stone. There is no discernable damage other than a scuff on the underside of the item.
