VICTORIAN YOUNG BOYS BEIGE WOOL 2- PIECE OUTFIT, LABEL, CIRCA 1870s

Two piece Victorian boys cream beige colored wool adorned with white braided soutache trim on jacket and pants, dating 1870s thru 1880s.

Label reads: BEST & CO. NEW YORK

Jacket is adorned soutache around front opening, sleeves and on back. Jacket is lined with white cotton.

Short pants match the jacket with soutache trim and a single row of braided trim running vertically alongside outer pant leg. Pants are lined with white cotton with inner side pockets.

Deaccession from the Rochester Strong Museum of New York and still retains in sewn in catalog identification fabric tag inside sleeve.
