Overview:
Broad Umayyad bronze fals struck at Tabariya (Tiberias) during the later Umayyad period, attributed to the 120s AH. The obverse carries the Kalima, la ilaha illa Allah wahdahu, within a circular border. The reverse features muhammad rasul Allah in three lines accompanied by the distinctive palm tree standing on steps, with the mint name in the margin.
The palm tree motif is characteristic of the Tabariya series and reflects regional artistic identity within the standardized epigraphic reform coinage of the Umayyad state. Tiberias was an important administrative center in Jund al-Urdunn and produced a recognizable bronze series prized by collectors of Levantine Islamic coinage.
Authenticity Check:
Natural dark patina with consistent circulation wear. Broad flan and correct Umayyad fabric. No evidence of tooling or modern alteration.
