This kit is to be used when intalling a 1984-1993 A.O.D (Automatic Over Drive) transmission into an early model Mustang to retain the factory shift lever. Designed to allow the use of a Ford factory OEM shifter with an A.O.D. transmission. The lever and shaft assembly must be replaced in order to ensure correct spacing and ratio with shifter.
