The EM-25 is a polyphonic synth specialising in strings, organ and brass. Like other such instruments, it was of the 'divide-down' variety to give a totally polyphonic generator through a single filter, amp and envelope.

All pots and switches were serviced and cleaned before this auction and are without noise on moving. New capacitors are replaced for ALL section!

The synthesizer was produced about 30 years ago. A total change of all ussr's capacitors is mandatory! If you buy a synthesizer without replacing ussr's capacitors and bad old chips - you get a problems!

So that you can have the idea of what this synth was built to do, I have had a go at translating the writing on the panel from the Russian: Panel (above keyboard):

Cеть - On/off switch Стрингс - Strings Aтака - Attack Спад - Decay Орган - Organ Селектор - Select switch Стрингс - Strings (the sliders underneath control the string section register, contrabass, cello and violins) Орган - Organ (again, sliders control the register)

Духовые - Brass Вибрато - Vibrato Духовые - Brass Скор задерж - Fast sustain(or delay) Модулятор - Modulator Огибающая - envelope Фильтер - Filter Мод Срез Акц - (These are abreviations for filter parameters) Modulation Cut-off Accent

Транспозер - Transpose Время – Time Инт – Abbreviated for ‘Interval’ Громкость - Volume Okтава – Оctave Транспозер - Transpose

The synthesizer operates on 220 Volts. The United States need a transformer for110-Volt ( not included)
