Description:
This bronze fals belongs to the post-reform Umayyad coinage struck after the monetary reform of 77 AH (697 AD). Unlike the more common Kalima-only issues of Syria, this type features the opening verse of Surah al-Ikhlas, a distinctive layout associated with eastern provincial mints such as Wasit. The central star device adds further diagnostic character to the type. Wasit issues are scarcer than standard Syrian fals and are sought after by collectors specializing in early Islamic provincial coinage.
Authenticity Guarantee:
Guaranteed authentic early Islamic Umayyad coin. Certificate of Authenticity included.
Condition:
Very Fine for type. Clear Ikhlas inscription with visible star device and strong historical character.
