This particular hat has a personal history. It was gifted to my father in the 1970s by a gentleman named Tex Cole of Dallas, Texas, whose name can still be seen handwritten inside the hat. After receiving it, my father carefully stored the hat in his closet, where it has remained preserved for decades. Because of this careful storage, the hat has retained its structure and presents beautifully today.

Adam was a respected American hat maker known for quality craftsmanship, and the Premier line represents one of their finer dress hat models. The felt has a smooth, dense finish and the hat is marked “Premier Quality” and “Treated for Water Repellency” on the interior sweatband.

The neutral tan color makes this a versatile and wearable piece for both casual and formal styling, and it is an excellent example of classic vintage headwear from an era when hats were an essential part of a gentleman’s wardrobe.
