You are looking at a very rare TAG Heuer. This is the TAG Heuer 1000 Series men's Professional 980.021 model watch. What makes it rare is that it is the Jumbo version of the 1000 men's models. These models were made for a very short time. They are in high demand due to their 42mm case and vintage look. I am a watch collector who owns over 500 TAG Heuer watches. I currently have quite a few for sale. It was simply time to clean out the closet. This survivor is a men's size TAG watch with a case size of about 42mm (45mm including the crown). The crystal is in good condition with several light scratches. The back casing is in good condition with light wear scratches. The bracelet is the stainless steel and gold plated jubilee band. The original TAG bracelet and clasp are in good condition with light wear, scratches, gold wear, mild stretch, and tarnishing. The watch also comes with a brand new aftermarket two tone jubilee band. The second bracelet is a brand new aftermarket stainless steel and gold plated jubilee band. The new bracelet and clasp are in perfect unworn condition. I have shown photos of the watch with both bands installed. The side casing has light wear scratches. The bezel is in good condition with light wear scratches. The hands & hour markers look very good. I would rate this survivor as a solid 8 out of 10 in condition with the original band installed, and much higher with the new band installed. These are hard to grade since you don't see many for sale. This is the nicest example of an original 980.021 I have seen in a long time. Most are beat up, but not this one. The watch is all original and will fit up to a 7.75 inch wrist. If you need extra links I can sell you some at $75 per link. I have access to them from a local jewelry store. The watch will fit up to a 9 inch wrist with the new aftermarket jubilee band installed. The bezel turns and clicks in the counter clockwise direction, as it should. This model has a quartz movement. All time and date functions work perfectly. It has always kept perfect time. My local watchmaker just serviced the watch & installed a new battery. It is ready to go another 30 years. I always recommend having the seals tested before wearing in water. I do not guarantee water resistance in a watch of this age.
