1884 SILVER CASED CHAIN DRIVEN FUSEE POCKET WATCH H LYONS BIRMINGHAM WORKING

Antique Circa 1884 silver cased fusee pocket watch in good working order. The dial is white enamel with black-coloured Roman numerals and gold-coloured hands with sub-dial. The movement is a full plate chain driven fusee with a lever escapement and ruby jewelled end-stone, clean with a good strong tick keeping good fusee time running the full length of its chain and marked H Lyons Birmingham with the number 89368.

The back covers are marked to the inside with London silver hallmarks for 1884 the maker mark IJTN and the number 89368 the same number as the movement telling us the case and movement started life together. It is key wind and set. The dial and dial lens are clean and clear and free from any chips or cracks. The case is clean and bright and has worn as to its age with all the covers closing nice and tight. It Measures a big chunky 53mm excluding crown.
