This mid-century Kiddush cup and matching plate were produced in Jerusalem by Karshi and feature a continuous raised relief of the Old City walls, gates, and skyline. The cup flares gently at the rim and sits on a beaded foot, while the plate carries a matching architectural border surrounding a smooth central well. Pieces like this were commonly sold as high-quality Judaica souvenirs during the post-statehood period and were intended for ceremonial use rather than mass export giftware. The underside retains the original Karshi Jerusalem label, dated 1955, confirming origin and period.
In very good condition. There are no dents, cracks, or repairs. The silverplate shows surface wear, light scratching, and areas of darkened patina consistent with age and handling, particularly inside the cup and on the plate’s well. The relief decoration remains crisp and well defined, with strong visual presence.
