Car Side Mirror Wind Deflector – Fits GOLF / GTI / R MK 7/ MK 8 I CFD Tested (Comes As A Pair)
🏁 Side Wind Deflector – Improved Aerodynamics; Reduced Wind Noise
Material: 85% ABS Plastic, 15% Carbon Fibre
This side wind deflector is designed to guide airflow smoothly around the wing mirror, reducing turbulence caused by the mirror and A-pillar area. Airflow visualisation shows a clear difference before and after installation, with cleaner airflow, reduced separation, and a smaller wake behind the vehicle. 💨 Reduce Wind Buffeting When Driving with the Window Open • Effectively reduces wind buffeting when driving with the window open • Tested at 80 km/h with no noticeable wind vibration • Made from high-quality matte plastic for a premium look and feel
⚙️ Precision Design, No Impact on Fuel Economy • 3D-scanned design ensures a precise, vehicle-specific fit • Developed using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) analysis • Designed to avoid negative interaction with other vehicle components • Does not increase air resistance or affect fuel consumption
🔥 Why Do You Need a Wind Deflector? As car enthusiasts, my friend and I enjoy driving with the windows open, but we personally experienced wind buffeting at speed. We also knew other drivers who had encountered the same issue, which led us to develop our own solution. Many modern vehicles experience wind buffeting when driving at speed with the windows open, which can significantly reduce driving comfort. To address this, we developed an elegant and highly effective solution that not only reduces wind vibration but also enhances the vehicle’s exterior appearance. The deflector is manufactured from carefully selected matte plastic that closely matches OEM materials, allowing it to blend seamlessly with the vehicle body and improve overall visual quality. During development, we used vehicle body scanning data to refine the shape and contours, ensuring a precise fit with the side mirror base. Airflow analysis confirms that the deflector reduces wind buffeting without increasing aerodynamic drag.
